Can I still deduct my supplementary health insurance contributions if I have been reimbursed by CGDIS?
Yes, but only the part that is not reimbursed. If you receive a reimbursement of 50% of your supplementary health insurance contributions from the CGDIS, you can only deduct the remaining 50% as special expenses on your tax return.
If you declare the full amount of the contributions despite the partial reimbursement from CGDIS, the tax authorities will recalculate the following year, and you will have to repay the undue deduction.
