# Where can I find the cadastral reference or the registration number of the notarial deed in Luxembourg?

#### Cadastral reference

This is a unique identifier for a property in Luxembourg. You can find it:

* **In your notarial deed of purchase**: usually within the property description, such as:
* **On your land tax assessment** or a **cadastral record** from the **Administration du Cadastre et de la Topographie (ACT)**.
* **Online**, using the **Luxembourg Geoportal** ([map.geoportail.lu](https://map.geoportail.lu)) by searching for your address and enabling the "Cadastre" layer.

#### Notarial deed registration number

This number is issued by the **Administration de l’Enregistrement, des Domaines et de la TVA (AED)** upon registering the deed. It appears:

* On the **first or last page of the notarial deed**, often labelled RE/EDT or similar.
* Alternatively, you can obtain it by:
* Contacting your **notary**, or
* Requesting it from the **AED office** responsible for the property's location.
