# What is the minimum deduction for special expenses?

If the taxpayer is subject to tax during the tax year, the minimum deduction is **€480**. For spouses/partners this amount is **€960**, if they are collectively taxable and each receive income from an employed occupation.

Our system will automatically take this into account if necessary.
