Where should income from pregnancy or parental leave be indicated?

Income from maternity or parental leave should be entered on the "Salaries" form.

You can enter the ‘Sub-total’ from your annual salary certificate either in the "Subtotal of gross earnings (Sous-total)" field or in the "Allowances for illness, accident, unemployment, or maternity" field. Important! Do NOT enter the amount it in both fields.

It is imperative to mention the "Caisse pour l'avenir des enfants" (or equivalent institution) in the "Employer (name and address)" field.

When employment is interrupted by parental leave during the year (for example, work from January to March, parental leave from April to October, and work again from November to December), enter the employer's annual income certificate and the CAE (or CNS) annual statement as separate entries in the "Salary" tab, each with the periods stated on the respective certificate. If needed, adjust the occupation/working periods in the "Personal Data" tab.
